Once again I'm participating in memes
Other black and white photographs you can see if you walk through my blog. There are many such photographs because I'm in love with black and white photography :)
My other photographs with shadows you can see in posts
I love the way your black and white strips away the extra noise in the photo and leaves the raw emotion. I checked out the rest of your blog, some awesome photos there!!

The shadow of the woman and cart seem to be in motion with the original subjects. The task seems to be to get what we need in the market or wherever and get it home at the earliest. The day is brilliant in sun and warm in temperature, a great backdrop to a stunning black and white portrait of life!
ReplyDeleteI love this shot. A moment well captured and great light and shadow effects.

I´ve been looking at some of your pictures here, like them a lot! And thanks for your comment on my blog!
ReplyDeleteThe harshness of the light is perfect for the subject, and the long shadow adds an intriguing dimension.
ReplyDeleteShowing an everyday slice of life in an uncluttered way makes this an interesting street photograph. The sharp shadow tells the story of perhaps a hot day, but certainly sunny.
ReplyDelete[Tatiana, I wonder what you mean by the word "cadre"... do you mean subject? In English, cadre means a group in a profession or communist activists, and I don't think you mean either of those. :-) ]
nicely composed photo, lovely shadows too
ReplyDeleteThank you all for wonderful comments.
ReplyDeleteFrancisca, cadre also mean part of the movie camera to record once, without interruption or cadre is space that covers film camera shooting.
In my comments cadre=scene.
Regards and best wishes for all
Thanks for the explanation, Tatjana. Still, I can find no reference to the word cadre in the context you describe it. Can you point me to a website that explains this further? I'd be interested to understand more. In any event, it's not a commonly used word... :-) Keep shooting!
ReplyDeleteFrancisca, at this moment I can't find any English website.
ReplyDeleteThe term derives from the French word cadre and means framework.
The word retains the same meaning and are now used worldwide.
Great shot again!
ReplyDelete'Like a dream' is really clever. I wish I had ps too...maybe one day.
