I am to much of a novice about photography to know anything about it BUT! I love this shot and I LOVE your work! It's wonderful! Congratulations on your award. I'm joining your blog to learn. :)
ReplyDeleteNow ~ What the heck does post-processing mean??? You liked a black and white photo I took of my daughter and said I did a good job with post-processing ~ I tried to look up this term but couldn't find much information.
lisa
I can't tell you how thrilled I am that you liked my photo! You made my day!
Thank you very much Lisa.
DeleteAt the time of analog photography, which is also popular among some photographers today, the photographs were processing in the so-called dark room. All film and paper were treated in a series of chemical baths.
Today, when the digital cameras are most popular, photographs are post-processed (edit) in Photoshop, Lightroom (or some other software for editing photos). You can add various filters, effects, to adjustment contrast, brightness etc. to achieve the desired effect.
In my comment on your photography I used the term post-processing, because almost the whole photo is black and white and only the flower in girl's hand is in color. It's certainly you have done in some editor for photos. It is called selective desaturation.
I hope that I managed on the simplest way to explained you the term post-processing of photographs.
Warm greetings and best wishes
Black and white are the best! :) Congrats!

ReplyDeleteIt looks so hot in that shot! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI like this photo and the way the shadow looks...like a shrivelled boy :-)
ReplyDeleteYour photos are fabulous they give me a feeling of curiosity and wonder what the real story is behind them. I also like the text in the side bar:
Delete"Look at my photos
and you will see my soul.
Look at deeper
and you will see my heart.
Dive to the end
- and you will see everything."
Thanks for your visit!
